Common Issues & Solutions
Unable to create User Segmentation
- Fix: Ask the client to perform a hard refresh (Ctrl + Shift + R / Cmd + Shift + R).
- Secondary Fix: Ask the client to check the dashboard in incognito mode to rule out browser cache issues.
- Escalation: If the problem is still unresolved, raise a bug to the tech team and attach a screen recording of the creation failure.
Discrepancies in customer data compared to Shopify
- Fix: Ask the client to refresh the bucket manually from the dashboard.
- Cross-Verification: If discrepancies persist, request the Shopify customer report and cross-verify the data. Keep in mind that only unique customer phone numbers are stored in the bucket.
- Escalation: If the data remains inconsistent after verification, raise a CAR to the data team for backfilling.
How to download customer data
- Steps: Navigate to the User Segmentation section.
- Action: Select the required bucket, click on the three-dot menu icon, and select Download.
Best Practice
Always refresh the segmentation bucket after major customer data updates in Shopify to avoid mismatches between the two platforms.
Escalation Checklist
When escalating to Tech or the Data Team, include:
- Brand Name
- Bucket Name
- Issue Description
- Screen Recording or Screenshots
